A Probe into Pragmatic Failure——From Psychological Perspective

Abstract：There have been quite a few researches done in the study of pragmatic failure with fruitful results on the basis of the research of J.Thomas.In recent years,the study of language and linguistic process has shifted somewhat from a perspective of pure lexical and grammatical phenomena to the social-cultural perspective.Meanwhile,with the study of pragmatics converged with such other discipline as psychology,it's necessary to make a further exploration of pragmatic failure from psychological perspective.Effective communication is dependent on shared knowledge of social relations and cultural conceptions in a large part,and necessarily the psychological states of participators.
