Identity Seeking of Chinese American Women: A study of "The Woman Warrior"

Abstract：With uncanny sensitivity and abundant intensity, Maxine Hong Kingston explores the gender and race dynamics in her autobiographical novel, The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood among Ghosts. This paper will explore the great efforts of Kingston in terms of describing the Chinese American women living experience from the perspective of interactive consciousness of gender and race, at the same time, also will examine how Kingston transforms herself form a silent women into a woman warrior with victorious songs.
