A Pragmatic Analysis of Verbal Humor

Abstract：Homor is an art,which plays an important role in life.The production of humour not only has its linguistic internal rules but also is inextricably connecte with special context and pragmatic principle.There aer many sources of humour,among which pragmatics holds an important part.The article will analyze humor from the theories of pragmatics,especially the cooperative principle.
